Did you know you can hire wheelchairs and scooters on a long term basis?

Shopmobility is based in Queensgate Shopping Centre, based between TK Maxx and Menkind on the First Floor. 

Wheelchair Hire

We have transport chairs, which have small wheels for someone else to push you, also Self propelled chairs which can be either pushed or moved by the user.

Hire charges*

£2 per day, £10 per week
£30 per calendar month

* to use this service you need to hold an annual membership, which costs £20.

We also have some children's wheelchairs

Scooter & Powerchair Hire

We have 1 powerchair and 6 scooters available, which can be taken apart to transport them in your car.

Hire charges*

£10 per day, £50 per week
£150 per calendar month

* to use this service you need to hold an annual membership, which costs £20.

£150 deposit is required

With an Annual membership for £20, you can use a scooter or wheelchair in and around the city centre, anytime we are open (times above)

We have limited opening hours as the service is run by volunteers, however appointments can be made for collection of Long Term Hire service, outside of these times by contacting our Main Charity to arrange this, on 01733 265551 or email info@disabilitypeterborough.org
