We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Quiz. The Deputy Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the store manager in all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, team management, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership skills with experience in supervising and managing retail teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with customers.
  • Prior experience in retail, preferably in the clothing industry
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tasks such as inventory management and visual merchandising.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in point-of-sale systems and retail software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Drive sales through effective sales techniques, upselling, and cross-selling strategies.
  • Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers by greeting them warmly, addressing inquiries and concerns, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, conducting stock counts, and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to execute visual merchandising directives and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Support daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyse sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and create a safe environment for customers and employees.
