Queensgate flushed with pride after '5 STAR LOO' rating
It’s enough to make you flush with happiness; Queensgate Shopping Centre has had its toilets awarded a maximum five star rating at this year’s prestigious Loo of the Year Awards.
Held in association with the British Toilet Association, the national awards, now in their 20th year, aim to encourage the highest possible standards in public lavatories with judging based on a range of criteria including cleanliness, hygiene facilities and décor. Queensgate is among just 29 shopping centres in the country to gain the five star rating in the awards, presented at a special gala ceremony on the 5th December at the National Motor Cycle Museum, near Birmingham.
Roger Hutchings, centre director at Queensgate, said: “We work very hard at Queensgate to ensure that all of our public facilities are of the highest possible standard. To have our toilet facilities recognised with this award is a real credit to our housekeeping team.”
The Queensgate toilets are located on level 1 of the car park. Alternative toilets are also available in John Lewis, M&S, Bhs and McDonalds.
