Peterborough Shopmobility
Peterborough Shopmobility is hosted by Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (Registered Charity Number 299823). It's a free service, but it relies on donations which are used to buy new equipment and fund repairs.
How to book
To book, simply call the local Shopmobility office on 01733 313133.
Just bring two forms of ID with you showing your current name, address and signature, like a driving licence and utility bill. We can offer training if you're a first time user - and if you need any extra features or fittings on your chair, just ask and we'll try to help.
Shopmobility Opening times
- Weekdays 10am to 5pm
- Saturdays 9am to 5pm
Thursday evenings and Sundays
On Thursday evenings and Sundays, our Shopmobility service provides only non-electric wheel chairs, which you'll find at our Information Desk. The desk is a short walk from the car parks and bus station, so if you call in advance we'll reserve a wheelchair and make sure there's someone to meet you. To book, please call 01733 311666.
Shopmobility - Arriving by car
Our Shopmobility office is on Level 11 and is easy to get to
The best places to park are:
- Cavell (Car Park 1) Level 5 and 7
- Royce (Car Park 2) Levels 5 and 11
- Clare (Car Park 3) Levels 5 and 11
There are spaces for blue badge holders and lift access on all of these levels. We'd recommend avoiding parking in Perkins (Car Park 4) as you'll need to use a footbridge to get to Queensgate.
Shopmobility - Arriving by taxi
Most local taxi companies will park and accompany you to the Shopmobility office. Just ask for help when you book your taxi.
Shopmobility - Arriving by bus
Peterborough's main bus station is between our car parks and the shopping centre itself. To get to our Shopmobility office from the bus station, take the escalators or lift up in to the centre, then take one of the car park lifts to Level 11. Because this involves a short walk, please call our office and we'll arrange to meet you at the bus station.

Door-to-door transport
If you can't use public transport, you can come straight Queensgate with the help of Community Link's door-to-door service. For bookings and more information, please contact:
