Spring has sprung; flowers are blooming and the sunshine is making an appearance. When I think of spring, I think of all things pretty and colourful, and of course, the fact that it’s time for Easter celebrations! The time of year when you can get all of your Easter decorations back out, and stuff your face with chocolate eggs! As soon as spring blooms, it gets me in the mood to get my craft box out and make something new and exciting. This year, I decided to make my own Easter inspired bunting using spring florals and bright colours – the kids will love helping you with this during the holidays. Here’s how I made it: You will need: A sewing machine Coloured thread (I used pink, orange and green) A mixture of patterned or coloured materials (I used two spring floral patterns, an orange gingham, pink polka dot and green polka dot) Hessian (optional – I used the hessian as a background to sew my shapes onto, but you could just use contrasting coloured or patterned backgrounds) Easter inspired templates Pins Measuring tape Fabric glue Fabric scissors Ribbon Two white pompoms Method: 1.
